The eight-pointed star forms the visual center of the mat, drawing the eye inward before the surrounding indigo fabric extends the composition outward.

The selected brocade fragment is carefully arranged with the surrounding textiles and stitched together to form a finished tea mat. The composition brings together different textile surfaces while preserving the original character of the vintage fabric.
