KNOT brings together a continuous geometric pattern and a chrysanthemum motif, drawing on traditional decorative elements found in vintage Zhuang brocade.

The repeating lines suggest connection and continuity, while the chrysanthemum introduces a softer floral element. Together, they create a composition inspired by enduring connections and the quiet strength of nature.

At the center of KNOT is a chrysanthemum motif set within a repeating geometric pattern.

The surrounding indigo and softened cotton textiles frame the vintage brocade, creating a contrast between intricate pattern and quieter surfaces.

Natural fading, irregularities in the weave, and variations in color remain visible. These details reflect the character of the vintage material, making each piece unique.

KNOT combines a vintage Zhuang brocade panel with indigo-dyed cotton and softened cotton fabric.

The selected brocade is carefully arranged with the surrounding textiles and stitched together to form the finished tea mat. The construction brings together different textile textures while retaining the original character of the vintage brocade.
