01. THE STORY

Some stories are carried in patterns rather than words.

VITA brings a vintage Yao embroidered textile into contemporary life. Its front panel features a distinctive geometric composition, with red, yellow, and green threads forming small floral and grain-like motifs against a darker textile ground.

The design invites a closer look: triangles, diamonds, and eight-petal forms come together in a rhythm of color and repetition. At its center, the sprouting grain motif offers a quiet visual reminder of growth, renewal, and the things we carry forward.

Once part of a traditional garment, this embroidered textile has been given a new form and a place in everyday life.

02. THE PIECE

VITA is a one-of-a-kind crossbody bag built around a vintage Yao embroidered panel.

The front showcases its original handwork, with geometric patterns and colorful embroidery that retain the natural irregularities of an aged textile. The back is made from handwoven natural indigo hemp fabric, creating a contrast between the detailed embroidery and the understated woven surface.

Its soft silhouette brings together vintage textile character and everyday functionality. Designed to carry personal essentials, VITA is a distinctive accessory that can be worn across the body or over one shoulder.

Natural variations in color, stitch tension, and textile texture are part of each piece's individual character.

03. CRAFT & MAKING

VITA combines vintage hand embroidery with newly assembled textile construction.

The front panel preserves a section of vintage Yao embroidery, featuring geometric and floral motifs worked in colored threads. The original source describes a reverse-side stitching technique, in which the embroidery is worked from the back of the fabric. This technique requires further confirmation before being identified as a specific traditional method.

The back panel is made from natural indigo-dyed hemp fabric, described as handwoven. These two contrasting textile surfaces are brought together to create a new everyday object while retaining the character of the original embroidery.

04. LIVING WITH IT

A textile-rich everyday companion with a relaxed silhouette and distinctive color.

  • For everyday outings: Carry your phone, wallet, keys, and other personal essentials.
  • For a relaxed look: Wear it across the body or over one shoulder as part of an everyday outfit.
  • For a touch of color: Let the red, yellow, and green embroidery add a distinctive accent to simple clothing.
  • For textile lovers: Appreciate the contrast between the intricate vintage embroidery and the understated indigo hemp backing.

VITA is sold as an individual piece. Its vintage embroidered panel gives every finished bag a unique composition.
