TIDE | Indigo Tea Mat from Vintage Cloth

In Yunnan, traditional Handwoven Rag Weave developed from the practice of cutting and reweaving existing cloth. Materials were given new form rather than simply discarded.

TIDE brings this textile tradition into everyday life. Made from vintage rag-weave fabric, it carries the quiet traces of time in its softened indigo tones and naturally irregular surface.

Deep indigo gives the mat a sense of depth, with subtle variations in tone and texture across the surface.

Fading, irregularities, and gently softened edges are part of the original material. Each piece has its own character, shaped by the particular section of vintage textile from which it is made.

The vintage textile is carefully selected and restored, then stitched together with natural cotton and indigo-dyed fabric to create its finished form.

The original woven texture and signs of age are retained, allowing the material's history to remain visible in the finished piece.
