FLUX | Handwoven Vintage Rag Weave Fringed Coaster

A small piece of textile can bring a different rhythm to an everyday moment.

FLUX is made from vintage rag-weave fabric, bringing the colors and textures of traditional Yunnan textiles into a simple, everyday object.

Each coaster preserves a different section of the original woven material. Its individual arrangement of colors, textures, and signs of age makes every piece distinct.

Deep and softened colors come together in an irregular woven surface, with fringed edges on both sides adding a natural sense of movement.

Some pieces appear relatively fresh, while others carry more visible fading and signs of age. These variations are part of the vintage textile itself.

Each coaster has its own character, with no two pieces exactly alike.

The textile is handwoven on a traditional wooden loom in Yunnan using the Handwoven Rag Weave technique.

Vintage fabric strips are brought together to create a new woven surface. Individual sections are then selected and cut into coaster-sized pieces.

The inner edges are secured with machine stitching, while the fringes on both sides are retained as part of the original textile character.

Compact and versatile, FLUX brings woven texture to everyday surfaces.
