Before becoming a bag, this textile was part of a traditional Zhuang baby carrier. Its embroidered surface, decorated with butterflies, birds, and floral motifs, once belonged to an object closely connected to everyday life and family.

CARRIED brings this vintage textile into a new context, preserving its original character while giving it another life as a contemporary bag.

Paired with vintage Zhuang silk brocade on the reverse, it brings together two different textile expressions in one thoughtfully reimagined piece.

CARRIED features a reversible design, offering two distinct looks in a single silhouette.

One side showcases the expressive embroidery panel from the vintage baby carrier, with its intricate motifs and time-softened colors. Turn the bag inside out to reveal the quieter geometric pattern of vintage Zhuang silk brocade.

The relaxed hobo silhouette is complemented by a leather strap, making it suitable for both shoulder and crossbody wear.

As each bag incorporates vintage textiles, the placement of patterns, colors, and signs of age will naturally differ.

The bag brings together two vintage textile elements: a hand-embroidered panel from a traditional Zhuang baby carrier and a handwoven Zhuang silk brocade panel.

These existing textiles are carefully selected and incorporated into a newly constructed bag. Leather details complete the design, while the reversible construction allows both textile surfaces to be displayed.
