Not everything needs a fixed function.
Some pieces move with you—from wall to table, from floor to daily ritual.
This is one of them.
✦ A surface like a landscape
At first glance, the textile feels almost painterly.
Fragments of color—deep indigo, softened reds, quiet neutrals—come together in a composition that is not symmetrical, but naturally balanced.
Less like a pattern, more like a surface that has formed over time.
✦ The making
This piece is handwoven using a reinterpreted Liezhi (rug weave) technique, drawing from a traditional split-weaving method from Yunnan.
Made from new materials, it follows the same principles of layering, cutting, and reconstructing textile structures.
Colors may echo across different pieces, but no composition is ever repeated in exactly the same way.
Each one develops its own rhythm—formed in the moment of weaving.
✦ One piece, many ways to live with it
There is no single way to use it.
- As a tea mat — grounding a quiet moment
- As a wall piece — adding texture and depth
- As a small rug — softening the space beneath you
It adapts to the way you live, rather than defining how it should be used.
✦ Why it feels different
Industrial materials aim for consistency.
This does not.
It carries slight variations in texture, tension, and color—
the result of being made slowly, by hand.
Not perfect.
But present.
✦ One of a kind
Each textile is unique.
While sharing a common palette and technique, no two pieces are ever identical.
Once chosen, it does not return in the same way again.
✦ A quiet presence
Place it where you need it.
On a wall.
On a table.
On the ground.
It will not dominate the space—but it will change how the space feels.
